Richard Hummel brings over 14 years of experience in military, government, and private sectors, specializing in defending against DDoS threats. As the leader of NETSCOUT’s ASERT team, he uses advanced analytics and machine learning to deliver actionable intelligence.

His career highlights include serving as a Digital Network Intelligence Specialist for the U.S. Army, managing cybercrime teams at FireEye and iSIGHT Partners, and earning an M.S. in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technical Institute.
